Trump gave William a pat on the shoulder before the two shook hands and spoke for a few seconds.
Trump then said the Prince of Wales is “doing a fantastic job” when the pair met after the ceremony.

He added that William was a “good man” and commented that the Notre-Dame event was “a beautiful ceremony”.
Before the meeting started, William said that “we can warm our toes up after the cathedral” and Mr Trump smiled and responded “right, you’re right”.
The heir to the British throne travelled to France at the request of the government for the high-profile event celebrating the restoration of the world-famous landmark following a devastating fire in 2019.

His Paris itinerary includes meetings with Mr Trump and America’s first lady Jill Biden, Kensington Palace said, but both were delayed due to the Prince of Wales arriving later than expected because of the bad weather.
Mr Trump and dozens of heads of state and government accepted invitations from French President Emmanuel Macron to attend the ceremony.
Other guests include several French billionaires and some of the poorest Parisians who gave money to help with the renovation.
