Germany: An armed man is shot dead by police in Berlin

In light of an increasing number of violent crimes in Germany involving the use of weapons, especially knives, criminals are becoming increasingly concerned about armed crime. Police in Berlin said on Saturday they had shot dead a 46-year-old man after he threatened another man with a firearm.

In a joint statement from the police and the public prosecutor’s office in Berlin, the man had earlier threatened a 49-year-old at the Nikolassee neighborhood.
