Fulham sign Burnley midfielder Berge for £25m

The Norway international signed a five-year contract at Craven Cottage, with the possibility of a one-year extension at the discretion of the team.

The midfield player will cost Fulham an initial £20 million plus an additional £5 million in add-ons.

After moving to Burnley from Sheffield United in 2023, the 26-year-old Berge was named player of the year as the Clarets were demoted to the Championship.

“It feels great,” Berge remarked.

“I have been back and forth for the past few weeks, but now that I am sitting here in this gorgeous stadium, wearing the shirt, and knowing that my future is here, it feels great.”

The midfielder joins Fulham as their fourth addition of the transfer window, joining Ryan Sessegnon, Emile Smith Rowe, and Jorge Cuenca.

Berge, who made 37 appearances for Burnley in the previous campaign, has not appeared in either of the Clarets’ two Championship games this year.

The midfield player has 46 Norway caps under his belt.

On August 24, Fulham will play their first home game of the Premier League season against Leicester City.
