Former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is reportedly in discussions with Mexican club Monterrey regarding a possible transfer.

Reports from RG Deportiva suggest that Ramos is open to accepting an annual salary of approximately $4 million (£3.22m/around 80 million Mexican pesos). However, negotiations have hit a roadblock regarding performance-related bonuses, which the former Spain international wants to be included in his deal. Another significant point of contention is the contract duration. Ramos’ representatives are pushing for a two-year agreement, whereas Monterrey are only willing to offer a one-year deal.
