A former nurse will spend at least three and a half years in prison after it was determined that she had sexually abused patients and a student at two private hospitals.
Between December 2018 and March 2022, Ali Khamis Moh had sexually assaulted three different women at the private hospitals in Sydney, Norwest and Nepean.
The 44-year-old was given a sentence on Friday that included a three and a half year non-parole period and a maximum sentence of five years and two months in prison. Judge Ian Bourke stated that Moh’d “abused his position of authority and manipulated it for his own sexual gratifications.”
He told the Parramatta District Court, “The [victims] speak in clear terms of the fear, confusion, shock and sense of violation the victims experienced at the time of the incident.”
Last month, a jury found Moh’d guilty of one count of rape and three counts of aggravated sexual touching following a 14-hour deliberation.

It was discovered that while instructing a 21-year-old student nurse on how to use a stethoscope to listen for bowel sounds, he had taken hold of her underwear and pulled it away from her skin, exposing her genitalia.
More complaints from a 25-year-old patient were admitted by the jury. She claimed that Moh had examined a surgical wound on her groin area, massaging it before touching her vagina with his fingers.
