Authorities said that a woman had falsified records to assert that Graceland was pledged as security for a loan by the late daughter of Elvis Presley. Officials said she took advantage of the family’s “very public and tragic occurrences.”. Lisa Jeanine Findley is accused of trying to extort the late singer’s family after she allegedly created false documents declaring the Presley estate belonged to her.
The alleged fraudster was arrested and made an initial court appearance in Missouri on 16 August, charged with mail fraud and aggravated identity theft.
