DOJ launches a criminal probe into the blowout of the Alaska Airlines 737 aircraft, according to a report.

According to a Wall Street Journal story published on Saturday, the Department of Justice has opened a criminal investigation into the Boeing jetliner blowout that caused a massive hole in an Alaska Airlines aircraft in January.In a prepared statement, Alaska Airlines stated, “It is normal for the DOJ to be conducting an investigation in an event like this.” “We think we are not the investigation’s target, and we are fully cooperating.”Citing documents and people familiar with the matter, the newspaper said investigators have contacted some passengers and crew — including pilots and flight attendants — who were on the Jan. 5th flight.
