Rallies were held across Europe on Sunday, the final day of voting in Russia’s presidential election, to protest against the administration of President Vladimir Putin.
In Paris, about 80 people gathered at a square in front of the Eiffel Tower. They criticized President Putin for illegal activities and called for solidarity with Ukraine.
Participants then marched through the city, holding up placards that read “Russians are against war,” unlike President Putin.
In London, a large number of people gathered before the Russian Embassy, where overseas voting was taking place.
They called for freedom in Russia and peace for Ukraine.
A Russian woman who visited the embassy to vote said she came wearing the Ukrainian flag to show support for Ukraine, and that she is against the war.
