Prime Minister Anthony Albanese today described the dropping of flares by a Chinese military jet in front of an Australian Navy helicopter as “completely unacceptable”.
He was speaking on Today this morning after 9News revealed the Royal Australian Navy Seahawk operating off HMAS Hobart was intercepted by a Chinese J10 Air Force jet in international waters last Saturday.
”We’ve made the appropriate diplomatic representations, as you’d expect. We regard this as unprofessional and that it is unacceptable. And we’ve made clear that view to Beijing,” Albanese said.
