A tragic minibus crash in north-west Victoria this morning has left two people dead and nine others injured. The accident occurred on the Calder Highway at Carwarp, near Mildura, when the vehicle, traveling south, rolled onto its side and collided with a tree.
Victoria Police reported that two passengers died at the scene, while another passenger was airlifted to a hospital with critical injuries. The male driver also sustained critical injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Three other passengers suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital, while four others were hospitalized for observation.
The exact circumstances of the crash remain under investigation. Carwarp is situated approximately 36km west of Mildura. Due to the incident, the Calder Highway between Kulkyn Way and Brownport Road is expected to be closed for several hours.
