Canada said on Monday that it had reserved 800 seats on commercial flights to evacuate its citizens from Lebanon, where the Israeli military has begun a limited ground operation targeting Hezbollah.
Melanie Joly, the minister of foreign affairs for Canada, said on X that “the security situation in Lebanon is becoming more dangerous and volatile.”The next flight is expected to arrive in Lebanon on Tuesday, with about 45,000 Canadians already there.
Nowadays, there are not many airlines operating flights to and from Beirut.
