The Metropolitan Police said the incident is not believed to be suspicious but enquiries continue into what happenedThe youngster, who has not been named by police, died from their injuries.
In a statement, the Met said officers are in the process of making sure that all family members have been informed.
“The incident is not believed to be suspicious, however enquiries continue to establish the circumstances,” a force spokesperson said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner in due course, they added.
