Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone calls out instigators after fans disrupt match

Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid, stated on Sunday that players who he suggested should encourage such behavior as well as fans who threw objects onto the field should be punished for delaying his team’s derby against Real Madrid for more than 20 minutes.
Atletico ultras Fondo Sur, who are situated in the lower south stands, threw objects toward visiting goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who alerted the referee, while Real players celebrated Eder Militao’s opening goal in the 64th minute. The match was then momentarily stopped by the referee.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw after the delay, with Angel Correa tying the score deep into added time.
