The cause of the incident remains unknown, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB cited the fire department as saying that the fire had been “largely contained.”Iranian media, including Fars, showed video of a plume of heavy smoke rising from the site.

Separately, a fire broke out in the reed beds of the Miqan wetlands near the central city of Arak, with winds helping to spread the blaze, the state-linked Nournews outlet reported.

On Monday, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported a fire at a shopping center in the northeastern city of Mashhad, with four fire stations dispatched to the scene.The incidents came as a fragile ceasefire between Iran and the United States comes under renewed pressure following an exchange of fire between the two sides on Monday.
