Following the assassination of a top Hamas leader last month, Hezbollah launched a flurry of rockets toward northern Israel on Sunday night, keeping Israeli forces on high alert for possible retaliation from Iran and its proxies.
Since the start of the Gaza War, Iran-backed Hezbollah militants in southern Lebanon have been firing rockets toward Israel almost every day as concerns about the possibility of an Iranian attack that could turn into a larger regional conflict have grown.
According to a statement from the militant group, Hezbollah launched its most recent salvo in retaliation for Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon and in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
