Around 60 firefighters battle blaze at Hanwell garage

Around 60 firefighters are responding to a fire in west London where half a car garage was alight on Sunday morning.
London Fire Brigade sent eight fire engines to a vehicle workshop in Boston Road, Hanwell, and rescued one person from the flames.
“The fire is located in a vehicle workshop, containing three vehicles, and around half the property is on alight,” a statement read.
“One person was rescued at the scene by crews using a ladder.
“Firefighters are carrying out operations to cool off a number of gas cylinders located at the scene.
“Adjacent properties have been evacuated by the Brigade and Metropolitan Police Service as a precaution whilst we respond.”
London Fire Brigade took calls about the fire from 5am.
Traffic around the junction of Boston Road and the A4020 is being heavily impacted.
The statement added: “The Brigade’s Control Room took the first of over 15 calls reporting the fire at 0504, and crews from Ealing, Southall, Acton and surrounding fire stations have been mobilised to the scene.
“The cause of the fire is not yet known.”
