Eight others as part of an investigation into alleged corruption of local politicians in the Trentino Alto-Adige mountain region, two sources with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters on Tuesday.
Other arrests have reportedly been made in Italy, including accountant Heinz Peter Hager from Bolzano and the mayor of Riva del Garda Cristina Santi.
