AC Milan won 2-0 at 17th-placed Empoli Saturday night to rise to a provisional seventh place in Serie A.

The goals came in the second half from Portugal winger Rafael Leao and new signing, Mexico forward Santiago Gimenez.
Empoli are currently one point above the drop zone but could drop into it if Sunday’s fixtures go against them
