A man’s body was discovered in a Gateshead park, leading to the accusation of murder against two men. Following the discovery of a man’s body in a park, two men have been charged with murder.

Neil Selkirk, 54, was found on Sunday at 06:10 BST in a grassy area close to Shipcote Lane in Gateshead, according to Northumbria Police.

Charges for his murder have been brought against two men, ages 33 and 39, who were apprehended close to the scene.

They are scheduled to appear later at the Magistrates’ Court in South Tyneside.
