A hijacked bus speeds through Los Angeles, killing one person while the driver is held at gunpoint.

Authorities say that one person According to Deputy Chief Donald Graham during a press conference, the incident started at around 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday when the Los Angeles Police Department received radio calls regarding a disturbance on a bus in the southern Los Angeles neighborhood of Manchester Street and Figueroa Street.Before authorities realized the bus had stopped at 117th Street and Figueroa Street, initial reports suggested there may have been a possible weapon-based assault. According to Graham, a SWAT team was dispatched right away to help with the hostage situation. They managed to board the bus and free the driver and a passenger.The suspect turned himself in right away and was taken into custody. Nevertheless, the second passenger was discovered to have multiple gunshot wounds when police were removing the bus.
