A “caring” wheelchair user was fatally stabbed on an east London street.

Following the death by stabbing of a wheelchair-using man in east London, two men have been taken into custody.
According to the Metropolitan Police, Jade Anthony Barnett, 38, was found with a stab wound after officers were called to Rushmore Road, Clapton, at 3:38 p.m. on Wednesday, following reports of a fight.
Despite receiving care from paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, he was declared dead on the spot.
According to the Met, a crime scene has been set up and two males, ages 21 and 28, have been taken into custody. The two are still being held at a police station in east London.
Mr. Barnett was “cheerful and caring,” according to his sister, who also said that “he laughed everything off and never took anything too seriously.”
His friends claimed he had moved to the Stratford area, but he and his mother had previously lived in Clapton.
According to friends, in a motorcycle accident in 2007, he lost his leg.
According to Ms. Barnett, “He frequents this area (Clapton) frequently, and everyone knows my brother—young and old, mothers and fathers alike.
“He is just that character; everyone is family.”
A woman who was also at the cordon and who did not want to be named, said: “He was always funny, making jokes, friendly with everybody, always had a smile on his face, and always pleasant.
“There’s not a bad thing I could say about him. I know him from long time, he’s a nice guy, very nice guy, always see him, he’s always pleasant.
“You never expect (an incident like this) at all, to be honest, but to him, least of all – he’s just nice, always, always a pleasure to see him, he’s upbeat.”

A black and grey electric wheelchair could be seen standing behind the cordon close to a forensics tent at the scene late on Wednesday evening.
The wheelchair and tent are on Overbury Street overlooked by a housing estate, with the cordon stretching on to Rushmore Road.
Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway, responsible for policing in Hackney and Tower Hamlets, said: “Our investigation is still in the early stages and my detectives are working hard to establish the circumstances of what has happened this afternoon.
