A cable car crash in Italy resulted in at least six injuries and 100 evacuations “

Near the Piedmont village of Macugnaga, two cabins collided with the upper and lower stations of the cable car, leaving dozens of people stranded.According to the Italian fire service, the incident occurred at approximately 11:25 am when two cabins struck the upper and lower stations of the cable car close to the village of Macugnaga.

Following the accident, the ski lift was suspended and the surrounding ski slopes were closed.

Police, firefighters, and the Civil Alpine Rescue Service promptly arrived on the scene and assisted in the evacuation of the people—mostly tourists—who were stranded on the mountain.
