The tennis champ announced on Tuesday that she and rapper Cordae “are no longer in a relationship”.

The news that one of the most celebrated couples in the sport are no longer an item shattered many fans across the tennis world.

Naomi Osaka shared the news via a post on her Instagram stories where she said she does not regret the relationship.

“No bad blood at all, he’s a great person and an awesome dad,” Naomi Osaka wrote about Cordae — whose full name is Cordae Amari Dunston.

“Honestly really glad our paths crossed because my daughter is my biggest blessing and I was able to grow a lot from our experiences together.”

She finished the post with a red heart emoji.

The adorable couple went public with their romance in April, 2019.

They celebrated the birth of daughter Shai, in July, 2023.

Osaka, who gave birth to daughter, Shai, in July, discussed parenting together and explained why their relationship works in a cover interview with InStyle for its December 2023 Celebration Issue.

“We built a really good foundation,” the 26-year-old Osaka said. “I don’t know if it’s because he’s just an easygoing guy, but I think we just respect each other’s opinions.

“And if we disagree on something, we talk it out. At the end of the day, we both want what’s best for Shai.”
