Officials said the death toll could increase.At least 10 people were killed after a passenger bus collided with a truck and caught fire on National Highway 48 in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district on Wednesday.
The accident occurred near Gorlathu village in Hiriyur taluk, and authorities fear the death toll may rise. Many of the victims were reportedly travelling home for the Christmas holidays.
The bus, which was travelling from Bengaluru towards Shivamogga and carrying passengers bound for Gokarna, burst into flames following the collision.
