Dolphins’ Jaelan Phillips has season-ending knee injury

Dolphins linebacker writes heartfelt message after suffering season-ending injury for second straight year … It’s deja vu all over again for Jaelan Phillips.
Less than a year after a ruptured Achilles tendon sidelined him for the Miami Dolphins’ final six games, another foot injury prematurely ended the linebacker’s season.
During Miami’s 31-12 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Monday, Phillips suffered a season-ending knee injury. In an emotional Instagram post, Phillips said the injury will require “reconstructive surgery.”

“I believe our lives are defined by how we deal with adversity. “In these moments of uncertainty, defeat and heartbreak, it is natural to question our purpose and wonder what the meaning of this pain is,” Phillips wrote.
“I know that my goal is to inspire people to never give up, no matter how many times they fall. I am a living testimony of the power of perseverance and faith, and I feel strength knowing that my God is greater than any obstacle. Thanks to him I will persevere. There is nothing in life that you cannot overcome until you give up. “The mission remains a mission. I have things to work on and I will emerge victorious from this ordeal. Thank you all for your continued support and love. ARMS UP.
