IDF strikes a weapons depot close to the Syrian port city of Lattakia.Overnight, the Syrian port city of Lattakia was reportedly targeted by an IDF strike on a weapons depot.
The pro-government Sham FM radio station reported that Syrian air defenses engaged in combat with “targets” over the sea near Lattakia. Subsequently, the station announced that firefighters were attempting to put out a fire in Jableh, a coastal city situated south of Lattakia.
Syrian opposition media claimed that the strike was intended to target a weapons depot.
Social media footage of the strike’s aftermath was shared.
The IDF recently pledged to stop all arms transfers, which are frequently made through Syria, from Iran to the terrorist organization Hezbollah in Lebanon.
