Napoli vs Balonga: Napoli Seek Redemption Against Bologna with Kvaratskhelia and Buongiorno Back in Action

Napoli, under the new leadership of Antonio Conte, are determined to revive their season as they host Bologna at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. After a crushing 3-0 defeat to Hellas Verona and a narrow Coppa Italia escape against Modena, the Partenopei are eager to turn things around.

Key players Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Alessandro Buongiorno are back in the lineup, providing a much-needed boost. Kvaratskhelia returns after a brief absence due to a head injury and personal commitments, while summer signing Buongiorno has recovered from an ankle knock. However, Victor Osimhen remains sidelined as transfer negotiations continue, alongside Michael Folorunsho and Mario Rui.

Bologna, on the other hand, kicked off their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Udinese. Despite missing several players, including Nicolò Cambiaghi and Lewis Ferguson, the team is set to challenge Napoli with a strong lineup featuring Riccardo Orsolini and new signing Juan Miranda, who is making his Serie A debut.

Napoli’s starting XI includes Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Buongiorno; Mazzocchi, Lobotka, Anguissa, Olivera; Politano, Kvaratskhelia; and Raspadori. Bologna’s lineup consists of Skorupski; Posch, Erlic, Beukema, Lykogiannis; Aebischer, Freuler, Moro; Orsolini, Castro, and Ndoye.

As the Partenopei look to secure their first Serie A victory, all eyes are on the action-packed encounter set to kick off at 19:45 UK time (18:45 GMT).
