Scott Parker has left Burnley by mutual consent, just eight days after the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
Parker, who took charge in July 2024 and signed a three-year contract, led the Clarets back to the top flight last season with a second-place Championship finish.
However, this campaign has been a struggle, with Burnley winning only four of their 34 league games and picking up just one point from their last eight matches.

Parker came into the club after the departure of Vincent Kompany before the 2024-25 season.
In his farewell message, Parker said: “I would like to thank Alan and the ownership group for their support during my time at the club.
“My thanks also go to the fantastic and tireless staff behind the scenes and, most importantly, to the players, who have given me everything since the first day I arrived.
“Finally, thank you to the Burnley fans. I wish you all and this great club nothing but the very best for the future.”
Assistant coach Mike Jackson will take charge of Burnley for the final four games of the season, starting with Friday’s trip to Leeds United.
Burnley now face another rebuild as they prepare for life back in the Championship.
