The FBI on Tuesday released a series of photos of a person in disappearance of Nancy Guthrie-

police are looking for in connection to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.

police are looking for in connection to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of “Today” Show host Savannah Guthrie.

“Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors – including the removal of recording devices,” FBI director Kash Patel wrote in a social media post attaching four photos of the subject. ” The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.”

“Working with our partners — as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance,” he added.

The images, captured on a home surveillance camera, appear to show a masked person with gloves on Guthrie’s property.

The 84-year-old mother of the NBC host has been missing for more than a week, with police saying they believe she was taken from her home against her will.

Police had previously said they had no persons of interest or suspects in the case.

The bureau last week said it was offering a $50,000 reward for information leading investigators to Nancy Guthrie, whose family says they believe is “still out there.”

Savannah Guthrie and her family have posted a number of videos on social media thanking members of the public for their support and confirming they are aware of an apparent ransom note in connection with the case.

Guthrie in her latest social media video was “at an hour of desperation.”

“She was taken and we don’t know where, and we need your help,” Guthrie said. “No matter where you are, even if you’re far from Tucson, if you see anything, if you hear anything.”

Both the family and police have said they have growing concerns about Nancy Guthrie’s health, given the fact she needs daily medications that if not taken could be fatal.

Savannah Guthrie, who was supposed to travel to Milan this week for NBC’s coverage of the Olympic Games, has not appeared on the network since her mother went missing.
