California, Feb 8 : The Seattle Seahawks denied the New England Patriots a record seventh Super Bowl title with a 29-13 triumph in the NFL’s championship game on Sunday.Seahawks win their second Super Bowl title:
The Seattle Seahawks dominated the New England Patriots, holding them scoreless through the first three quarters to win 29-13.
Seattle’s defense swarmed Patriots’ quarterback Drake Maye all night, causing three turnovers, sacking him six times and returning one interception for a touchdown.
Seattle’s offense was mostly powered by running back Kenneth Walker III, who had more than 150 yards from scrimmage, and kicker Jason Myers, who made five field goals, a Super Bowl record. Walker III received the Super Bowl MVP award at the end of the night.
Bad Bunny, this year’s halftime show headliner, emphasized unity during his performance, which took place on a set that paid homage to his Puerto Rican roots. The Grammy winner was joined by music icons Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. Celebrities, including Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba and Alix Earle, also made cameos during the show. Before the game began, Green Day, Charlie Puth, Brandi Carlile and Coco Jones also performed.
