(ANSA) – ROME, JAN 22 – The storms brought to southern Italy this week by Cyclone Harry have caused around 740 million euros in damage in Sicily alone, according to an initial estimate, Sicilian Governor Renato Schifani said on Thursday.
Schifani said his executive had met to approve a measure to put to the regional assembly declaring a state of emergency and approving an initial allocation of 70 million euros to start addressing the consequences of the wave of extreme weather.
