According to Indonesia’s Geological Agency, the eruption occurred at 11:05 am (Indonesia time). No casualties have been reported so far.

Last month, several flights to and from Bali were cancelled due to volcanic activity. A previous eruption in November 2024 killed nine people and disrupted numerous international flights.
Indonesia, home to 270 million people, sits along the Pacific “Ring of Fire” and has 120 active volcanoes.
