NEW DELHI/ISLAMABAD, May 8 (Reuters) – A blast was heard in Pakistan’s eastern city of Lahore on Thursday morning, according to broadcaster Geo TV and a Reuters witness, a day after Indian strikes at multiple locations in the country and fears of an escalation in conflict between the nuclear-armed neighbours Sirens went off and people ran out of their homes as a series of loud explosions were heard in Pakistan’s Lahore on Thursday, Reuters and local media reported. The incident comes a day after India struck terror camps in Pakistan, in an operation named ‘Sindoor’, in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives.
