Man United loses again to pile pressure on Ten Hag

His side missed several chances and should have been out of sight in the first half, but Jarrod Bowen’s penalty condemned United to their fourth Premier League defeat of the season, according to BBC.
After the first penalty appeal was turned down, referee David Coote was brought to the pitch monitor by the video assistant referee (VAR) to review Matthijs de Ligt’s foul on Danny Ings.
Coote scored the penalty after a long interval and ignored protests from the US players over an Ings handball before Bowen scored in the second minute of injury time.
“Before the season, there was a guideline that VAR would only intervene in cases of clear and obvious fouls,” Ten Hag told BBC Match of the Day.
“Of course, it is not a clear and obvious mistake by the referee on the field.”

The result moved West Ham up to 13th in the Premier League, one place above Manchester United who have won just three of their first nine games. The Dutchman said he spoke to officials after the match at the London Stadium.
“I talked to them,” Ten Hag added. “But the decision has been made. There is no going back and this is football.
“This is the third time I feel unfair in the season and it has had a huge impact on our team, our results and our position in the table. “It’s not fair.”

Asked about the penalty decision, West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui said: “I haven’t seen it. The players say it’s a penalty and the referee says it’s a penalty, so I’m sure to be right
“I prefer to emphasize that after his goal, we keep the positive energy and the dynamic to win the match. I prefer to keep this energy.
