In the wake of last night’s car bombing attacks, Israeli authorities temporarily closed the Tomb of the Patriarchs, also known to Muslims as the Ibrahimi Mosque, in the West Bank city of Hebron. The attackers, who originated from the Hebron area, prompted heightened security measures in the region.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that security screenings at the Cave of the Patriarchs were intensified for both Palestinian and Israeli worshipers, leading to a brief closure of the area for security reasons. The closure was a precautionary step to ensure the safety of all visitors.
