Tourist dies after ice collapse in Iceland’s Breidamerkurjökull glacier”

Local media reports state that a tourist lost life in south Iceland when an iceberg broke apart while they were visiting a glacier with their group.

While two more tourists remain unaccounted for, a second injured tourist has been taken to the hospital and their life is not in danger.

Due to challenging conditions, rescuers have postponed their search for the missing in the Breidamerkurjökull glacier until the morning.

On Sunday, while the 25-person group and their guide were exploring an ice cave, the ice collapsed.
