King Charles to Visit Families of Southport Knife Attack Victims

King Charles will visit Southport on Tuesday to meet with the families of three young girls who were tragically killed in a knife attack last month. The girls, aged six, seven, and nine, were attacked on July 29 while attending a summer holiday dance group in Merseyside.

Breaking from his customary summer vacation at Balmoral Castle, King Charles is expected to hold a private and emotional meeting with the bereaved families at Southport Town Hall. The gathering will be away from the media’s gaze, allowing the King to offer his personal condolences.

Among those the King will meet are some of the children who survived the attack during the Taylor Swift dance class at the Hart Space Community Center. It was also revealed that a few students from the class recently met their idol, Taylor Swift, at her Wembley performance.

In addition to his visit with the families, King Charles will express his gratitude to the emergency services for their swift response on the day of the attack and during the riots that followed. He will attend a sharing of experiences at Southport Community Fire Station, where members of Merseyside’s Fire and Rescue, Police, and Ambulance services will recount how they managed the situation and dealt with the unrest that ensued.
