US Intelligence Agencies Accuse Iran of Cyberattacks on Trump and Harris Campaigns

US intelligence agencies have directly accused Iran of launching cyberattacks aimed at disrupting the 2024 US presidential election. These attacks targeted the campaigns of both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, raising concerns about foreign interference.

Security agencies, including the FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), reported observing increasingly aggressive Iranian cyber activities during this election cycle. They stated that Iran has employed social engineering tactics and other cyber operations to gain access to individuals connected to the campaigns of both political parties. Tehran has firmly denied these allegations.
