According to the PFA, it took several firearms, knives, and computers from the homes.
An alleged “Islamist terrorist organization” that was preparing an attack on the Jewish community in Mendoza has been dismantled by the federal police of Argentina, a spokesperson for the Security Ministry said on Friday.
Argentina Federal Police’s (PFA) anti-terror unit said it arrested seven members of the cell and that the case has now gone to a court in Mendoza.
The majority of Jews in Latin America reside in Argentina, where there were multiple attacks on the community in the 1990s that left hundreds dead. The deadliest attack on a Jewish community center in the history of the nation claimed 85 lives in 1994.
Security Minister Patricia Bullrich wrote on social media, “We are going to get rid of each and every one of these criminals who intend to sow fear among Argentinians, and they will pay.”
