Kamala Harris Unveils Economic Plan to Curb Rising Living Costs

Kamala Harris

During a campaign stop in North Carolina, a key battleground state, US presidential candidate Kamala Harris presented a comprehensive economic plan aimed at reducing living costs. Harris emphasized the financial challenges many families face, citing expenses like prescription drugs, food, housing, and school supplies as major burdens.

The plan includes imposing “severe penalties” on businesses caught overcharging for groceries. Under the proposal, the Federal Trade Commission would fine large corporations responsible for price hikes, pending congressional approval.

Harris also outlined tax incentives for new home construction and a $25,000 credit for eligible first-time home buyers. Additionally, she highlighted a new child tax credit of up to $6,000 for families with newborns.
